Accessing Services
I encourage all clients who are eligible to apply for fully-funded counselling via the Victims Support Scheme (NSW). It seems only fair to me that if you were psychologically injured as a result of an act of violence inflicted upon you, that you should have access to mental health services to support your healing at no cost to you.
Victims Services Scheme (NSW)
The Victims Support Scheme (NSW) provide counselling, financial support and recognition payment to any victims of a violent crime in NSW. Primary, secondary and family victims are eligible for up to 22 hours of free counselling to aid in your trauma healing and recovery. Click here for more information on how to apply or contact me and I will guide you through it.
Non-funded sessions
For clients who are not eligible for the Victims Services scheme, and are interested in working with me over a period of care, my private fees are:
$175 + GST for a 75 minute session. Most of my sessions are at least 75 minutes in duration.
There is no medicare rebate available and I do not take Mental Health Care Plan referrals.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are the counselling sessions conducted?
Sessions can be over the phone, online or in person. Some clients who find walking a very self-regulating activity also prefer ‘walk and talk’ where we meet outdoors and have our session while walking side by side. My office is located 2 minutes to the beautiful Sawtell Beach so the option is always there for clients who would like to listen to the waves and have a ‘walk and talk’ time.
How long is each session?
The initial intake session is usually about 90 to 120 minutes in duration and subsequent sessions are 75 minutes in duration. Mostly clients see me fortnightly for a period of time depending on the plan and therapy progress.
What sort of credentials do you have?
I have a Master of Counselling (Valedictorian) and I am also a registered member (Level 4) with the Australian Counselling Association.
I am an Accredited Practitioner with the EMDR Australia Association (EMDRAA). This recognises EMDR therapists who have met the requirements for additional training, experience and supervision. Read more about it here.
I am also trained in Clinical EFT Level 1 and 2 with EFT International. In addition, I am a Master Solution-Focused Practitioner with the International Alliance of Solution-Focused Training Institutes.
How do I know if you would be a right fit for me?
Every counsellor has a slightly different approach and style, and it is definitely not one size fits all. I encourage and value honesty and if at the end of the first session, you find that this is not suitable for you, please do not hesitate to let me know. I have very thick skin! And we could brainstorm other possible options together
Do you accept medicare rebate?
I am not able to accept Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referrals from GPs. Clients can access funded service via Victims Services or NDIS
Do you work with men in men's behaviour change?
I work with clients of any gender. For DFV issues, it depends on the context. Usually, a Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) group would be more suitable for male perpetrators of violence. I do not do relationship counselling where there is DFV present as it is not a recommended best practice.
